A striking personality among Czech theatre directors, Věra Herajtová, whose productions regularly feature excellent acting by the Czech actresses from Cheb to Zlín (Thalia Award, several prizes from the Festival of Czech Theatre) moved her activities to the capital. Nevertheless, her first directorial project will be a dramatization of Crime and Punishment at Ostrava's National Theatre of Moravia and Silesia. The director and the dramaturgy in Ostrava chose the Polish film director Andrzej Wajda's version of Dostoyevsky's novel, the production will open on 25 March 2006. Věra Herajtová also starts working together with Aura-Pont.
