A piece using the music of Ivan Mládek’s 1970s popular song Jožin z bažin [Joey the Swampthing] became a new hit in Russia. The band called Murzilki International used the tune for a text sending up the Russian PM Vladimir Putin.
Komsomolskaya Pravda daily wrote that the song was heard by three million of people, and the video showing on the YouTube server is being enthusiastically labelled “a mega-clip of genius”. The old song recently gained new popularity in Poland; Mr Mládek says he’s delighted by the Russian choice.
