A day afterwards, on 29 April, there will be a launch at the Czech Embassy of a new anthology of contemporary Czech drama in Russian translation, a second such book since 1990s. The anthology is edited by Vlasta Smoláková and published by the Baltiyskie Sezony Publishing House under the title “Leaving and Other Plays”. Besides Havel’s new play, it includes Milan Uhde’s Zázrak v černém domě [Miracle at the Black House] and Pavel Landovský’s Protentokrát zbohatnem [For Once We’ll Get Rich]. The organisers provide abundant entertainment at the book launch: a screening of the documentary film Občan Havel [Citizen Havel] will be followed by a rehearsed reading from Leaving and a public discussion with one of the playwrights represented in the anthology – Milan Uhde.
