The (imaginary) second and third place in drama went to Havel’s Leaving at Theatre Archa, directed by David Radok, and Cirkus Havel at Divadlo Husa na Provázku [Goose on a string] directed by Vladimír Morávek.
Other frequent nominations included: The Fan with Peach Blossom (Divadlo v Dlouhé), Pricking (Činoherní Klub [Drama Club] and, once more, Leaving – this time by Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové. Another nomination went to an independent amateur theatre Divadlo Hugo [Theatre Hugo] with the production of the same name.
Divadelní Noviny’s Vladimír Hulec says the survey is not so much “looking for a winner”; it rather tries to map using simple means all the positive and remarkable things that happened in Czech theatre during the past year. Those participating had only a right to a single nomination.
