Dagmar Havlová leaves the production of Leaving

The leading role of the character of Irena she was to play will be taken over by Zuzana Stivínová. The director David Radok recast the role of Bea with Dora Bouzková. The world premiere of Leaving will take place on May 22 at the Archa Theatre as planned. All the spring and autumn shows will be performed as announced," the spokeswoman of the Archa Theatre said in a press release.
Theatre Archa's Managing Director Ondřej Hrab added: "We fully respect the information concerning Mrs Havel's health. I would like to thank the director of the show, Mr Radok, Ms Zuzana Stivínová and all the production team for their help in handling the difficult situation. The production team will do everything to ensure the artistic quality and the date of the opening of our show will not be jeopardized. We wish Mrs Havel strength in handling the illness and quick recovery."
"I am sorry Dagmar had to cancel her appearance in the show but health takes precedence. I am still looking forward to the opening of the production and I still hope my wife will be able to play in it one day," Mr Václav Havel commented through his secretary Sabina Tančevová.
Besides the opening night on May 22, there will be two more performances labeled as World Premiere, as the audience capacity at the theatre is relatively restricted.
After the opening, there will be several performances during the spring season, nevertheless, most tickets are already sold out. At the moment, Theatre Archa started to sell tickets for the Autumn Season.
