Milan Uhde and the Forman father and sons team won the prizes for extraordinary performance in Czech theatre during the last season. Other prizes went to the choreographer Hana Litterová and the representative of theatre alternative
René Levínský .
The drama prize was won by the Brno-based playwright Milan Uhde for his last play
A Miracle at the Black House (Zázrak v černém domě) , that opened in March at the Theatre on the Balustrade in Prague. In the Alternative Theatre category, the award went to René Levínský, author of the play
Harila, coproduced by the Theatre at 7 1/2 in Brno and the independent ensemble The Most Beautiful Teddies.
The awards are linked to a cash reward of CZK 150 000, with extra CZK 50000 in the Acting Category. A total of 40 people and projects were nominated for the award.
The Sazka and Divadelní noviny Awards are - together with the Thalia Prize and Alfréd Radok Awards - the three most prestigious and most important theatre accolades in the Czech Republic.
