Internationally, Memorandum is probably Václav Havel's most famous play, usually known under its English title. It will be staged in spring 2006 by Communicado, one of the best-known Scottish touring companies and holder of a number of awards at the Edinburgh Festival, under the direction of the head of the company Gerry Mulgrew.
Havel's "Vanik" one-act plays are to be produced by the Serviço Social da Indústria in Sao Paol, Brazil, under the direction of Soledad Yunge. In August they will add Havel's Private View and Audience to their Repertório programme, followed by Protest.
